Hurricane Iselle / Tropical Storm Update
With the safety and welfare of our Ka Hana Pono Ohana at heart
we will be CLOSED tomorrow Friday August 8th.
The Hawaii State Department of Education will close all public schools and DOE offices statewide on Friday, Aug. 8, in addition to Thursday’s closures on Hawaii Island and Maui County. Message from Kathryn Matayoshi Superintendent of Schools:
“We have been advising our schools to prepare for the worst and will assess any potential damage to our facilities once we receive the all-clear. We will continue to monitor both storms and will make another announcement regarding whether school will be in session on Monday.”
Waialua high will be a designated emergency shelter for people and pets – if necessary this emergency shelter will open at 9:00pm tonight Thursday August 7th.
